About the Film

"If He Shall Hear Thee" is a live action short film written and directed by Brittany Berger.

This coming-of-age film focuses on themes of loss, hope, and faith, as fourteen-year-old Abby runs away from home after the death of her younger brother. Joined by the local pastor's son, they embark on a journey neither of them are prepared for, while Abby's mother, Ruth, struggles with her sense of faith after the funeral. Both mother and daughter must learn to cope with the loss in their own ways before they can hope to start a new life together, one with just the two of them.
